So, for the third child in a row, I have believed the fallacy that once I was done nursing and the baby can do finger foods, I would suddenly have so much more time. It seems to make sense, right? If I had been spending 20 minutes 4 times a day nursing and another 15 minutes three times a day doing baby food, I should have an extra 125 minutes (over two hours!) for leisure, right? Wrong. Because here's what happens . . .
They enter THIS STAGE:

Here's the area she just left.

AAAHHHHHH!!

I love it. It's seriously true that as soon as you have one obstacle in a certain stage mastered, they enter a new stage, and a whole new set of obstacles begin. I've decided this motherhood journey is just one big episode of getting the rug pulled out from under your feet time and time again. Just when you stand back up, there goes the rug, and you're down again. It's amazing we survive at all, and especially amazing that we love it so much:)
Good thing she's so cute, huh?!
Lol...yeah, it's definitely a good thing that she is absolutely ADORABLE!! Too funny!
How funny!! I left the room for a few minutes and Jace pushed the chair over to the counter. I walked in just in time to see him going for dinner in the crockpot... seriously INTO EVERYTHING!!!!
I hear you! I love Lori's comment because it is so true--and right now I am definitely down. I hope I can get back up even if it is just to get the rug pulled back out from under me. Just being back up for a minute or two would feel so good as I'm sure all mothers know.
I love that we are experiencing the same stuff at the same time. Yesterday Teag got into my cupboard with the powdered sugar, bit a hole in the bag, which resulted in pwd. sugar all over him and the floor. So of course I find him licking his own pants. Mmmmm tasty!
Its hard to get mad isn't it? :)
I know the feeling. Despite the messes they make, it sure is a fun time. I can't stay mad at Lucy for long for dipping her hands in the dog's water or throwing the dog food all over the kitchen floor. :)
