So, this fall was my first experience with being a football mom. I remember my mom as a football mom, always so nervous, not even wanting to go to the games because she was afraid her boy was going to get hurt. I've also seen the moms that turn into crazies at the games, screaming for their kid like he's the greatest football player that ever lived. I wasn't sure quite what to expect of myself. But I actually LOVED watching Connor play football. He had so much fun, and it was fun to watch him fall in love with football. Maybe it's just because the kids aren't all that big, but I never worried about him getting hurt. I also never screamed (although I may have been inside just a little). Anyway, it was a great experience, and Connor's only complaint is that it is over already.
Game Day Connor
And a little video of one of his runs this year (with a little glimpse of the kind of football mom I am so far--cheering, but not loud enough for anybody to hear.)

I think you're the best kind of football mom!
Looks like so much fun! We didn't have an organized team here, but Matthew has been on the flag football team at the Rec and has fallen in love with it as well. Can't wait until next year when he plays in jr. high! Looks like Connor is going to be a great player. :)
