Out with the old . . .
(I don't know what happened in this picture, but it's terrible, I know.)
. . . and in with the (almost) new.
(Again, horrid photo.)

Yeah! Tony and I decided that this year for Christmas, we would skip the surprise factor and just choose some furniture together. We got a sweet deal on this leather couch and chair set shopping on ksl.com. We found this from a couple who must have needed some cash in a hurry, because they took a $1000 loss on it after only having it for less than two months. So last Tuesday after Tony's basketball practice (after 6pm) we loaded up the kids and headed to Logan, UT to pick it up. We got home about 12:30am, but it was worth the trip!
The funny part about it is that this is by far the nicest furniture we've ever had, which has me pretty paranoid (I wouldn't sit on it for the whole first day for fear I might somehow RUIN it), and it's used. As I look through our house, I realize that every piece of furniture we own was either bought used or given to us. It's as if we're still college students even though Tony is in his fourth year of teaching, and we've been in a house of our own for three years! Maybe someday we'll have something new, but for now, we're loving our (almost) new couch and chair!
Here are some of the stains I WON'T be missing!

Here are my little elves being so obedient and NOT eating on the new furniture.

Awesome upgrade!! And judging from the pictures of the old couch, you definitely deserve it!!
Looks great! Leave it to you to find practically new furniture for a sweet deal. Next time I need to make a big purchase I'll call you and tell you where to have it billed and shipped. ;)
Awesome furniture but even better deal. So exciting.
Love the furniture, it's so nice! i was like that when we bought ours, and it's stayed pretty nice...for the most part, as always with little kids nothing is kid proof for too long. Maybe that's why we wait to buy the brand new furniture, so that we don't spend tons of money, just to have them draw on it or something!
